You start your therapy journey with an initial, free and confidential telephone conversation (around 15 minutes) to discuss what you want to achieve. And to ask any questions about working together. Don't worry if you are not clear about what you want.

Following that initial conversation, we arrange an assessment session either in person or online. This lasts about an hour and allows you to check that you feel comfortable. I'll ask a series of questions to assess your needs. If I am unable to help (for example, if you need specialist support) I will try to help you find someone who can.
If you decide to proceed, you will receive a working agreement to sign. If any clarification is needed, we talk about the agreement during a session.
Subsequent sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once a week.
Some people may only require a few sessions (typically eight) while others request longer term therapy. We review aims and progress together regularly. You are in control of when therapy ceases and usually there will be a final “endings” session.
Fees
Entering therapy is a commitment. It is an investment of time and money into yourself. Please email or call for availability – I offer day time, evening and Saturday morning appointments.
Invoices are issued at the end of each calendar month and must be paid within two working days by bank transfer. Alternative payment arrangements – for example, in advance of or immediately after each session - are possible. Please ask.
