I know people want data and evidence, but in the world of therapy, obtaining insights isn't as straightforward as digital or financial analytics. Yes, we conduct assessments before and after therapy, but they don’t capture the complete picture of the therapeutic relationship…
This week, I had three clients share their experiences that illustrate the profound therapy impact on their lives.
(For confidentiality reasons, I've adjusted these stories slightly, but they are authentic.)
After three sessions, one client reported a remarkable transformation, overcoming severe anxiety, rumination, negative self-talk, and sleeplessness. They are now in a much better place, confidently addressing their career, home, and relationship goals.
Another client noted that after their fourth session, their debilitating health anxiety—something that had significantly restricted their physical and emotional well-being—lifted completely. For the first time in almost a decade, they felt a sense of peace.
I also received an encouraging message from a client with whom I had worked for several months to tackle severe workplace stress. We wrapped up therapy three months ago, and they shared that they just passed their probation at a new job with flying colors. They couldn't be happier and felt more confident as their career takes off once again.
Data is crucial, but the real impact of therapy is even more significant. Ultimately, it's about the people we help on their journeys. I feel incredibly privileged to have been a small part of their therapeutic experiences.
